L.O.V.E, What Does It Mean To You

What Is love? Some say its the good morning kiss from an incredible night with the one you love. Some say its grandma's warm hug from the harsh cold of christmas eve with the sweet smell of sweet potato pie cooking in the oven. Others would say its the marvelous external beauty of their opposite that attracts their attention. So what is love? How do we know that were using it right. Is it just a word we toss around because it sounds good or do we really mean it when we say it by actually showing it? See thats It!! "Showing It" But are we really doing it right? There are a lot of questions to be asked about the word love. We could give are own opinions, experiences, expectations and even fantasies of the word. Some would show love by having sex, buying materialistic things, feeding the homeless, caring for the elderly, taking care of family etc. For some many years love is been used in so many ways but have we stopped to ever think "Am I saying it right doing or doing it right?" I would like to make a solid suggestion, The word of God! If anything if we want to know what "Love" is or "How To Love" the bible is the perfect manual. Over the years and I do mean years love has been transformed into this ideal fairy tale that we all come to love. Romantic movies, novels, Valentine's Day and poetry. Love is finding the perfect one and being happy forever which i think now that I came to my senses is not always the case or at all. Love is as the bible quotes "is patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, not proud. Does not dishonor others, not self seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil but rejoice with truths. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres". There you have it folks!! The Relationship/Marriage between a man and woman is not going always going to be perfect but knowing you have someone there for you unconditonally and faithfully is worth more than a ideal fantasy. Not just relationships/Marriages but in all walks of life the biblical definition of love can apply. Once you fully understand love you will learn to appreciate those around you friends, family and even strangers. Lets LEARN, APPLY and TEACH the real meaning of this word we take for granted into our lives and appreciate the true beauty of Gods creation! So what is L.O.V.E? As much as I was taught or learned to me L.O.V.E is LIFE OPENLY VALUED ETERNALLY.
